The Music of Ty Woodward, Organist

Equally at home as a classical or theatre organist, Ty Woodward presents a program of music by J.S. Bach, Jehan Alain, Léon Böellmann and Dan Locklair. Ty serves as organist at First United Methodist Church in Santa Monica and at the El Capitán Theatre in Hollywood.

An organist of significant versatility, Ty Woodward has had a career of both classical and theatre organ concerts ranging from performances at Westminster Abbey, London to the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, Washington, D.C. to Shea’s Theatre, Buffalo, the Alabama Theatre, Birmingham and the outdoor pipe organ in Balboa Park, San Diego. His recording credits include a solo classical album at the Kennedy Center, Washington, D.C on their former Aeolian-Skinner organ, a theatre organ album on the Wurlitzer organ at the Auditorium Theatre in Rochester, N.Y. along with accompaniments for many choral recordings. His studio work has encompassed performing on soundtracks including the Bugs Bunny Episode From Hare to Eternity, The Grinch movie (2019) and the Miley Cyrus album Something Beautiful (2025.)
