img_1932How to Become a Member of St. Gregory’s

If you would like to become a member of St. Gregory’s, please take a moment to determine which of the descriptions below best describes your current position.

Next, contact Kevin Wood in the church office (562-420-1311) or by email at info@stgregoryschurch.com to arrange the next step towards membership.

Transfer of Membership

If you are already baptized or confirmed Episcopalian, the office will request your letter of membership from your last Episcopal church.  This letter will transfer your membership to St. Gregory’s.  Click here for the Request For Letter Of Transfer.

Baptized Member

If you have been baptized in any other Christian denomination we can recognize you as a baptized member.  Let us know the denomination and date of your Baptism. If you have not been baptized, please speak to the Rector about taking this important step. To help in your discernment, you can find additional information about Baptism at St. Gregory’s HERE.

Confirmation

If you wish to become a confirmed Episcopalian, or to be received into the Episcopal Church from the Roman Catholic, Lutheran or Orthodox Church, call the church office and ask to be enrolled in our program for adult confirmation.  This series of classes is an examination of the faith and worship of Anglicanism.  These classes are fun, informative, and a great way to meet new and interesting people.

Please know that if this is not a convenient time for you to take the classes, or if you feel that you are not ready for this leap of faith, you can still be on the rolls as a baptized member.

Active Members

Active members are regular in worship and prayer, and faithful in giving and serving St. Gregory’s community.  Everyone is encouraged to get involved. There are many opportunities and organizations within St. Gregory’s community that may be of interest to you which are highlighted throughout this site.
