Sunday Morning Adult Bible Study

 

Join the Rector on Sunday mornings, May 13 and May 27, for a video Bible study and discussion Surprised by Hope; Rethinking Heaven, the Resurrection, and the Mission of the Church featuring The Right Rev’d N.T. Wright, retired Bishop of Durham in England. Class meets at 9:00 am in the Fireside Room.

Monday Night Bible Study

 

Beginning February 6, Monday Night Bible Study will begin a study in the Book of Romans. Please join the group for an exploration of this book, often referred to as Paul’s magnum opus.

A place at the table is saved for you. Please join us.

Thursday Morning Bible Study

                                    

 Join the Rector for a brief twelve-week overview study of the Book of Revelation using the Rev’d Dr. John R. W. Scott’s study guide.  The class begins on Thursday, May 10, at 11 AM in the Conference Room in Francis Hall. 

The cost of the study guide is $7.  Everyone will need a study Bible as an additional resource. The sign-up sheet and the study guides are available in the parish office.

Report from PARISH WIDE MEETING – Sunday, May 6, 2012 at 9:15 am

The Parish met to consider changes to the Articles of Incorporation.  A quorum of 68 members was present with total attendance of 110 members.  The new Articles of Incorporation were approved by 69 yes votes, 40 no votes, and 1 abstaining vote.

 May 19, Saturday  - Rummage Sale

For everyone who is packing up holiday items and/or looking forward to spring housecleaning -  The Parish Rummage/Plant Sale is scheduled for Saturday, May 19, 2012, from 8 am to 2 pm in the church parking lot and grounds.  So, please put aside any treasures for that or for Holly Faire, later in the year.

Warning!  We have been advised by an unnamed Rector that there is absolutely no storage space at St. Gregory’s.  So, please do not deliver treasures until we tell you that it’s safe!

Bel Canto is a select group of singers from Men Alive.  Bob Gunn is their Director and is also the Assistant Director and Accompanist for Men Alive.  In addition, he is the Assistant Director and Principal Accompanist for the Long Beach Chorale.
